Making a claim

Call us first
Before anything else, ring the shop. Most of what looks like damage is something we can resolve in the bay the same week.
Bring the car in
We inspect under proper lighting and photograph the affected panel. That documentation is what the claim is built on.
We file it for you
You do not deal with the insurer or the manufacturer. We submit the claim against your VIN with the paperwork from your install.
We do the work
Approved claims are repaired here, by the same team. No deductible on coating claims, no out-of-pocket fees.

Wash it properly
pH neutral shampoo, two buckets, clean microfiber. Brush car washes are the single most common reason a claim gets questioned.
Annual inspection
Coating warranties ask for a yearly check. Bring it in, we decontaminate, inspect coverage and log it against your VIN.
No harsh chemicals
Avoid anything abrasive or high-alkaline on coated or filmed surfaces. If in doubt, ask us before you use it.
Report damage promptly
Etching gets worse the longer it sits. Call as soon as you see something rather than waiting for the next service.
Keep the paperwork
Your registration is tied to the VIN on our side, but hold onto the handover documents, especially if you sell the car.
Transfer on sale
Selling? Tell us and we will transfer the coverage to the new owner, which is worth real money at resale.

FREQUENTLY ASKED.
What does insurance-backed actually mean?
It means an insurer underwrites the coating claims, not us. If Premier Detailing NJ ever closed its doors, the coverage would still stand. Most ceramic warranties in this area are just the installing shop’s promise.
Is there a deductible?
No. Approved coating claims are covered up to $5,000 with no deductible and no out-of-pocket fees.
Is the warranty transferable if I sell the car?
Yes, within the warranty period. Let us know and we will move the registration to the new owner. It is a genuine selling point.
What voids the warranty?
Automatic brush washes, abrasive polishes and harsh chemicals on coated surfaces, accident damage, and repainting a panel. Ordinary driving and ordinary weather do not.
Do I have to come back every year?
For the coating warranty, yes, there is an annual inspection. It takes very little time, keeps the coverage valid, and gives us a chance to catch anything early.
What if the film gets damaged in an accident?
That is an insurance matter rather than a warranty claim, but we work with body shops all the time and can re-film the repaired panels afterwards.
How long is the tint warranty?
STEK covers the film itself, and we cover our installation for one year against lifting and peeling. If an edge ever lifts, bring it back and we will sort it.
Who do I call?
Us, on (908) 873-3599. We handle the filing with the manufacturer or the insurer. You should not have to chase anyone.
